Job Description:
FTE: 0.6 – 1.0 FTE
Hours per shift: 5 – 8 hours (flexible)
Days: Monday to Friday (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
Salary: Negotiable. Commensurate with experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Updating patient demographics such as name, address, contact info, family physician, and PHN validation accurately at every patient interaction.
- Processing specialist orders.
- Make outgoing calls to patients and explain appointment preparation.
- Maintaining, protecting, and complying with privacy and confidentially for all patients, staff, and physicians according to Health Information Act.
- Performing administrative/other duties that include but are not limited to scanning, filing, processing incoming and outgoing faxes, linking documents, and maintaining EMR records.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) Certification
- Strong interest in living a healthy lifestyle
- Extremely comfortable speaking to patients on the phone
- Adaptable to change
- Ability to work independently in a group setting

- Attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and critical thinking/problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Knowledge and experience with medical records management using an EMR
