Job Description:

FTE: 0.6 – 1.0 FTE
Hours per shift: 5 – 8 hours (flexible)
Days: Monday to Friday (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
Salary: Negotiable. Commensurate with experience

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Updating patient demographics such as name, address, contact info, family physician, and PHN validation accurately at every patient interaction.
  • Processing specialist orders.
  • Make outgoing calls to patients and explain appointment preparation.
  • Maintaining, protecting, and complying with privacy and confidentially for all patients, staff, and physicians according to Health Information Act.
  • Performing administrative/other duties that include but are not limited to scanning, filing, processing incoming and outgoing faxes, linking documents, and maintaining EMR records.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications

  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Office Assistant (MOA) Certification
  • Strong interest in living a healthy lifestyle
  • Extremely comfortable speaking to patients on the phone
  • Adaptable to change
  • Ability to work independently in a group setting
